The Blooming of the Lotus for Professionals

Angebote / Angebote:

The Blooming of the Lotus for Professionals" is a unique resource for all those professionals who impact the lives of survivors of childhood incest and sexual abuse. Survivors often feel alone in their experiences, with emotions that linger long after the trauma is over. In her groundbreaking poetic memoir, "The Blooming of the Lotus: a spiritual journey from trauma into light, " Robin Lynn Brooks takes survivors on her deeply personal journey of healing. As she travels on her awe-inspiring quest down into the abyss and back out again, she lets survivors know they are not alone. "I have heard many accounts of trauma over the years, yet it is rare to come upon one captured so perfectly and expressed with such candor, beauty, and grace&hellip, . Robin poignantly reveals her deepest vulnerability in an effort to share her story and healing process with other survivors. With great success Robin conveys that the journey from the darkest imprisonment to the light of freedom is indeed possible. This memoir is Robin's gift to us all." ~ AnDréya Wilde, Ph.D. In this companion piece to the original "The Blooming of the Lotus, " Brooks begins "The Blooming of the Lotus for Professionals" with her address to the Domestic Violence Task Force in Greenfield, MA, in 2016. This is followed by further information about the repercussions of being a survivor-all from a survivor's viewpoint-as well as specific recommendations for therapists, healers, educators, medical professionals, judges, and other supporters of survivors. Included is a grouping of poems from her original book, which-though much abbreviated-still gives a sense of her story and the progression of her healing journey. This book was written in collaboration with trauma specialist Dr. AnDréya Wilde.
