The Body of Christ
Angebote / Angebote:
In his letters to the early churches, the Apostle Paul coined a term that has come to be used as a symbolic name for the Christian Church as a whole. He said that the collection of all followers of the risen Jesus of Nazareth were comparable to a human body - they were the "Body of Christ". And just as a human body is a single unit made up of many different parts with different abilities and different purposes, all working together to sustain life, so too is the Church made up of many parts (members) all working together to do the work of and sustain the life of the Church. In each of his epistles, Paul provided additional insights into the structure and functioning of the Body of Christ, the Church. The purpose of this volume is to explore some of those insights. Two additional aspects of the Body of Christ not included in this volume are addressed in two other books in this study series: "Gifted: Understanding the Gifts of the Holy Spirit" and "Good Fruit: Understanding the Fruit of the Spirit".
