There had been pelvic discomfort and pain at intervals for nine years. The tumour was noticed five years ago, since when there had been increased pelvic distress. Since, June, 1893, she had been unable to work, and had lost flesh and strength. Bimanual examination revealed a tumour moving with the uterus, the body of which was pushed to the left, and admitted the sound for the normal distance.
