Excerpt from The Canadian Entomologist, 1911, Vol. 43A small collection of Lepidoptera was made by the writer during the first five days of July last, at St. Fabien, Rimouski County, Que. Owing to the remoteness of the locality from the better collected districts, it was thought advisable to prepare for publication a list of the captures made.St. Fabien is situated at about one and a quarter miles from the St. Lawrence River, and is separated from the latter by a narrow wooded hill about 300 feet high. A beautiful sandy road branches off the main public road, passes at the foot of the hill and leads to the beach. This road for nearly its whole length is thickly bordered with alder, birch, coniferous trees, herbaceous plants and ¿owers of different kinds, and forms an ideal spot for insects, especially for butter¿ies. This place was visited several times during the above period, unfortunately, the temperature was not a'lways very suitable.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
