Ascen, a boy of eighteen lives with his father in England and is constantly being reminded of the rules of magick. The only light in his life is that of his best friend a girl named Raska who has been in his life ever since he can remember. Their friendship is constantly tested by Ascen's sworn enemy Blake, who's only task seems to want to ruin their lives, that is until his own life starts to take a downturn when he meets a young girl who claims to be a witch. Blake follows the witch's advice until he realizes she has an ulterior motive in helping him.
