The Effect of Immigration on Homicide Rates in Contemporary U.S. Cities
Angebote / Angebote:
Both public discourse and social scientific theories suggest that immigration increases crime rates. Previous studies in the post-1965 USA have mostly suggested that this is not the case, but the methodological quality of these studies is low. This book provides an overview of theories of immigration and crime, a critical assessment of the extant empirical literature and an examination of the effect of immigration on homicide rates in U.S. cities in 1990 and 2000 using modern statistical techniques for causal analysis.
