In particular, the study aims at determining the impact of board expertise on the performance of the State-Owned Enterprises. Furthermore, to determine the impact of board size on the performance of the State-Owned Enterprises, to assess an effectiveness of board independence on the performance of the State-Owned Enterprises, to assess impact of board diversity on the performance of the State-Owned Enterprises. The study will be using a mix of both qualitative and quantitative research techniques, whereby relevant State-Owned Enterprises in Tanzania will be assessed. The data will be collected from both primary and secondary sources and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The findings will assist the Government of Tanzania to come with the best strategies which are influential and significant for financial, Operational performance of the State-Owned Enterprises in Tanzania. Therefore, the study will suggest the relevant board composition which can play significantly and effectively roles on the State-Owned Enterprises' performance.
