Excerpt from The First Biennial Report, Containing the Twenty-Seventh and Twenty-Eight Annual Medical Reports, &C., &C., &C, : Of the London Ophthalmic Infirmary, Formerly Designated the London Infirmary, for Curing Diseases of the Eye, Founded in the Year 1804 An Annual Contributor of One Guinea constitutes an Annual Governor. A Contributor of Ten Guineas or upwards in one payment, is a Life Governor. Governors have the privilege of recommending Patients, and of voting for the appointment of Physician and Surgeons, having been Subscribers six months previous to any Election taking place. The Committee meets quarterly to regulate the affairs of the Infirmary. A sub-Committee is appointed to conduct the intermediate business of the Infirmary. A General Meeting of the Governors is called as early in the year as possible, to receive from the Committee the Report on the past year, and to elect a new Committee for the current year, and upon the affairs of the Infirmary generally. Patients are admitted Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from eight till ten o'clock in the Morning. Subscriptions are received by the Treasurer, John Labouchere, Esq., at the Banking-house of Messrs. Williams, Deacon and Co., Birchin Lane, by M. Heathfield, Esq. Secretary, 138 Leadenhall Street, and by Mr. Joseph, Baker, Collector, 68, White Lion Street, Pentonville.
