The Flower That Survived 19 Years of Drought

Angebote / Angebote:

Love and betrayal, unceasing hardships, one small family, one big destiny! The Flower That Survived 19 Years of Drought is a romantic and inspirational story that "foretells" the tale of Joshua Alexander Sullivan, a coming of age youngster deprived of a normal childhood. Born with the gift of foresight, he is guided by powerful visions and dreams. With the strong influence of his mother, SunShine Sullivan, Joshua must use every breath and every instinct to survive life-threatening circumstances. Each step is deadly and must be calculated precisely to climb out of the dark abyss in which he finds himself. Doran J.M.L. Brown is a teen fiction and dark fantasy writer in Jamaica. His latest project is a dark fantasy romance titled VOLUTION: Chariot of the Crystal Balls, which will be published next year. He and a group of friends are known locally for grabbing the top spots at the 2011 JPS Science and Technology Expo, using fish scales to make biodegradable plastics. They were awarded the Most Innovative Display, Top Tertiary Display and the Best Overall Display, and were featured in newspapers and local TV programs. According to Dr. Densil A. Williams, a senior lecturer of international business and head of the Department of Management Studies at UWI, Mona, "The innovativeness of these students, who have devised a formula for transforming fish scales into an environmentally friendly form of plastic, is what could give life to a new brand of ground-breaking entrepreneurship, which will spur economic growth." - The Sunday Gleaner, May 15, 2011.
