Until now, when a young man from South Carolina accidentally awakens and releases the White Buffalo spirit in a moment of fear and powerlessness. Desperate for a chance to escape the difficulty in his home life and persecution from his peers, Bobby Bridges agrees to become the next White Buffalo guardian and begins his journey with a trained counselor and mystic, Cecil Masters. It is Bobby's opportunity to get away from his dysfunctional family and no longer be the object of ridicule at school. It's his chance to be powerful and in control during a time and place where neither seems a possibility. It's his chance to be somebody. But, the reaction to being bullied is the most dangerous thing of all.
