The Master Of The RollsWhen the question of printing arose, the length of this Pipe Roll greater by about a half than those hitherto published by the Pipe Roll Society - offered a considerable obstacle because of the expense in volved, but the Yale University Press generously offered assistance that made its publication feasible. It is further a matter of con gratulation that the printing has been done by the well - known firm of W. H. Smith Son, The Arden Press, printers of the Pipe Roll Society's volumes.
