Here, and especially in Pennsylvania, prevailed not only religious liberty, but thousands of persons were in connection with no church, deprived Of the means of grace, spiritually careless and neglected. Here, therefore, it was the duty of Christians of every name to organize, to found churches, to bring their converts into their own courts and bestow upon them their Own name.
