Excerpt from The Irish ConventionCapt. W. J. M. A. Maloney, a native of Ireland, who served for more than two years as a surgeon in the British Royal Army Medical Corps, wrote the first article in this pamphlet at the request of the Evening Post for the purpose of evoking discussion. Dr. Maloney saw service at the battle of the Marne and at the Gallipoli Peninsula, where he was wounded four times and invalided home.The Evening Post (established in 1801) is by almost universal consent regarded as the ablest and most scholarly of American dailies.
