The NSTA Atlas of the Three Dimensions put together by Ted Willard will give teachers some perspective of ways to put the Next Generation Science Standards and other state standards together in a way that can improve student learning. Individual maps and the Atlas overall are a powerful resources to aid educators in the work that they do. In general, the maps help educators understand the meaning of individual elements, which is essential for a host of educational activities. The maps are also particularly helpful for planning curricular sequences. In addition to connections made by Ted, teachers will be able to see how concepts develop over the course of K-12. Seeing the progression set out along side the connections will give teachers a new perspective and approach to the NGSS and 3-D instruction in general"--
