Although not in intrinsic value coming near some of the various hoards which have formerly been discovered yet, so far as concerns the information to be derived from the coins themselves, and those of Roman mintage, with which they were found associated, the present find is entitled to take at least equal rank with the celebrated finds of Karn-Brê, High Wycombe, Farley Heath, Almondbury, Whaddon Chase, or Weston, if it is not even of more importance.
