The arrangements were under the skillful and competent direction of Burton Alva Konkle of Philly delphia, the historian, the author of a forthcoming Life and Works of Wilson in six volumes. The Governor of Pennsylvania and his party arrived at Edenton on the morning of November 20th, and were joined by the Governor and Chief Justice of North Carolina, in whose presence and that of a distinguished group of citizens, the exhumation was made. The cortege proceeded to Norfolk, Va., accompanied by members of the Cincin nati of North Carolina, as a guard of honor. The re mains were received by the United States Government on board the U. S. S. Dubuque, and were carried to Philadelphia.
