Excerpt from The Question Mark, Vol. 7: January December, 1952 Two days before the opening of Tyler Street, at the monthly meeting of Branch Librarians, it was agreed that punch and cookies should be served as had been done at Adams Street. Twenty of this group contributed a quarter each, making a tota of Six dollars. This provided more than enough funds for the punch, ice, and pape doilies, and one dollar and six cents of the sum were turned over to the Branch Librarians' flower fund. Seven stef bers, two of whom were not in the gr at Branch Meeting, volunteered to ma cookies. The flowers on the refr table were furnished by two members of group who were former Branch Librarians Tyler Street. Other flowers were given the Supervisor of the Division of Home Reading and Community Services. The Li brery provided the paper cups.
