Buchanan '10 from the Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, referred to them as two of the ablest jurists who ever occupied that distinguished bench.The editorial echoed the sentiments of the justices' friends and colleagues by calling Justice Buchanan a profound scholar, a well of knowledge and Chief Justice Eggleston a keen pragmatic analyst of legal issues.
