The Scale for Pedagogy of Accelerated Learning to Teachers of TCSL

The application of accelerated learning to TCSL has been valued in recent years in Taiwan. To promote the related knowledge of accelerated learning for teachers, experts of accelerated learning were invited to give speeches in TCSL-related workshops and teacher training programs. This study aims to develop a Scale for Pedagogy of Accelerated Learning, SPAL to teachers of TCSL. A 20-item scale for measuring accelerated learning knowledge and abilities was administered to 164 TCSL teachers in Taiwan for item analysis, factor analysis and reliability analysis in this pilot study. Based on the results of the item analysis and two factor analyses, 2 items were cancelled and the factor loadings of the other 18 items were greater than .05, with a Cronbach a of .9423. The result of this study showed a satisfactory outcome. In the application stage, a sample was collected from 438 TCSL teachers in Taiwan, and the background variables of TCSL teachers were explored.
