I was requested to allow them to be published at the time of their delivery, but deferred doing so in the hope that I might be enabled to extend my investigations to the structure of wool as well as cotton, and thus render the work a resume' of our knowledge of the mixed fibres, which have played so large a part in the production of what are known throughout the world as Bradford goods.
