The Imperium has been at war with Vlibb Hegemony for centuries. Forged from generations of war, Grand Admiral Scanlon begins a new training programme, Operation Night Owl, made up by the best handpicked youths to fight their war. Daxton Thorne, who was exiled from the Imperium by his father, is one of those cadets. Now he is returning ten years later, a new person and ready to become what his nation needs most-a saviour.
