There are no votes for cats. That is why I am beginning this consciousness-raising campaign, working towards a Parliament for Cats. For we are not merely miaow-machines, tender on the tactile, we are not just moggies, four-legged, friendly, furry and cute, we are feline fellahs and fellarinas, guys and dolls with brains, hopes and ambitions.
