Angebote / Angebote:

Soft power refers to the capacity to exert influence over others by effectively building consensus, which may involve persuasive tactics and fostering a favorable appeal. In the modern era, marked by the extensive utilization of advancements in communication technologies, it is clear that nations are embracing novel diplomatic strategies that surpass conventional methods. Rather than solely relying on traditional diplomatic practices that center around communication between state and international actors, states now place greater emphasis on engaging with societies through diverse channels. Hence, in the evolving international landscape, public diplomacy has become a focal point, drawing significant attention, sparking discussions, and fostering increased understanding.Using both theoretical and empirical sources to explore the concept of soft power and its associations with other concepts and practices, this study makes a historical analysis and examines contemporary practices of soft power in Türkiye, how it utilizes its soft power elements to overcome diplomatic challenges, build rapport with international audiences and shape its global standing, thereby facilitating mutual comprehension, breaking stereotypes, and encouraging cross-cultural conversation.
