The main character, Valor, is missing a right hand, however, he doesn't let that stop him from defending the weak from bullies. Being a herbivore velociraptor, he is constantly shunned and made fun of by other carnivores for being different. Nonetheless, he finds strength in the fact that he's unique. Although he is different, his friends accept him for what he is and together they roam the old world trying to survive and defend those which cannot fend for themselves. The author Jose M. Roman has over 10 years of experience teaching and working with elementary school children.
