Excerpt from Weekly Station Reports of the Office of Dry Land Agriculture Investigations, Bureau of Plant Industry, U. S. Department of Agriculture: July, 1930The past week has been another severe one on cr0ps. Temperatures and wind velocity have not been as high as for the previous week, but there has been only 04 inch of precipitation recorded.Crops on fallow are still holding on in fairly good shape. On the better methods of fallow, all grain is heading but will be short. Most of the continuous cropping is so badly injured now that it cannot recover. With rains, corn ground would make a light cr0p. If the present conditions continue, only light yields will be secured from fallow.Corn has been injured very little and is making nice growth to date. Flax is also progressing satisfactorily except for weeds. There are some reports of injury from canker in this vicinity.About the PublisherForgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books.
